You have the choice: would you like to take part in a group consultation together with other patients or would you prefer a personal one-to-one consultation? Both are possible – and in both cases we focus on your individual situation.
Your consultation day begins with a group discussion in which we present basic information about lipoedema and the surgical options at our clinic together with other patients. You will be given an overview of the medical background, the liposuction procedure, important requirements and aftercare.
You will then have a protected, confidential one-to-one consultation with the surgeon in charge. We will take the time to listen to your personal history, your physical situation and your questions.
A major advantage of our consultation is that you have the opportunity to get to know other affected women and exchange ideas. For many of our patients, this is the first time they have met women who share the same experience.

Many women come to group counseling with a queasy feeling – completely understandable. But almost all of them leave with a feeling of relief. Because for the first time, many experience: I am not alone. Talking to other women who have had similar experiences can be incredibly empowering.
Our group counseling is much more than a medical lecture. It is a protected space for encounters, understanding and education.
And don’t worry: your very personal situation will not be neglected thanks to the subsequent one-to-one discussion. There is room for everything you might not want to share in the group.
A well-fitting compression garment is an important component of any holistic lipoedema treatment. Many sufferers are familiar with the problem: tights that slip, cut in or simply don’t fit properly and make everyday life more difficult than easier.
We offer professional and sensitive compression advice at both LipoClinic locations to prevent this from happening in the first place. In Mülheim, Pia Püttmann takes care of measuring and fitting – with many years of experience, a great deal of sensitivity and a trained eye for the individual needs of each patient. In Hamburg, we work closely with the motion center medical supply store, which also specializes in custom-made compression garments and takes the time to provide precise and careful advice.
Our compression advice ensures that your stockings really do fit perfectly. Because anyone who wears compression garments every day knows that they have to be effective and comfortable to wear. Precise measurement is therefore an important step towards feeling more comfortable in everyday life and starting the operation well prepared.
