LipoClinic Dr. Heck GmbH is committed to ensuring that its digital services are accessible to people with disabilities. LipoClinic Dr. Heck GmbH invests significant resources to ensure access for all users – including people with disabilities – based on the firm conviction that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.

For us, digital accessibility is not a one-off goal, but an ongoing commitment that is reflected in every aspect of our digital services. We recognise that this requires continuous monitoring, improvement and adaptation. In the following sections, we explain our measures and progress in ensuring digital accessibility for all.

A key element of our accessibility initiative is our collaboration with the external consultancy organisation UserWay to ensure our website is compliant. We use recognised industry methods and tools to meet the requirements of the latest version of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the leading international standardisation body for the internet.

lipo.clinic provides the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget, which is supported by a dedicated accessibility server.

The widget offers user-controlled features that allow visitors to improve the website’s accessibility. These features enable users, for example, to increase the font size, pause animations or adjust the colour contrast. Users can select the combinations that suit their needs, in line with WCAG Level AAA.

The website also uses Automated Remediation Technology (ART), which is available to all visitors – regardless of whether they use assistive technologies or not. ART does not detect assistive technologies, but improves accessibility for all users through technical adjustments, e.g. (including but not limited to):

      • Graphics and other non-textual elements are provided with alternative text where necessary;
      • Keyboard navigation is improved through focus indicators and skip links;
